Services provided include:

• Specified general cleaning
• Hand dryers and roller towel provision
• Pest control
• Window cleaning
• Sanitary hygiene provision
• Washroom supplies
• Periodic floor maintenance

Some of the above services are provided through an external contractor, e.g. window cleaning, but are funded, organised and monitored by Site Services.

Service Times

Most of our cleaning services are carried out in the early morning. Essential areas that will be in use for teaching are cleaned before 9.00am but the cleaning staff are available until mid afternoon.

We think it is important that the cleaners get to know the staff for whom they clean; this allows for a personalised, more flexible service. Therefore, we give our staff a base building from which they work.

Service Frequencies

The housekeeping service provided is based on a specification of procedures and standards. This agreed specification is the basis for the funding of the department.

The standard service frequencies can be flexible and it is possible for departments to fund a higher level of service if they so wish. Contact a member of the Site Services staff for details.
