22/01/2009 — Welcome back, SnowBall, Racks and THE VALLEY RALLY!!!!
First things first. Welcome back after our Christmas Break! I hope everybody had a wicked time in Tignes. I certainly did! There will be a Post-Tignes carnage report soon. In the meantime - the epigram has a couple of articles on the trip this week.
Snowball tickets are now on sale and can be found in Racks or on the shop tab!
Racks socials have started up again, Monday Nights 8 - 10pm. FREE FOOD!
...Except not this Monday as its the VALLEY RALLY!!! More details soon (but basically its the same debaucherous set-up that we had in Tignes!).
12/12/2008 — TIGNES!!!!
As i write this the first 4 coaches are on their way. Just got back from the union (helping get people on the right coaches and get their goodie bags etc..) and everyone seems very excited!
No updates on the site for a week or two - as we'll all be in Tignes skiing some POW POW!!!! Look out for a post Tignes Carnage report - ONLY HERE when we get back. Have fun everybody!!!

Auntie Emily - our beginner beginner's rep has been hard at work in her hamster wheel and has written us a guide for beginners! It can be found here

07/12/2008 — Tignes Snow forecast.
As its only 5 days till we head out on the first of our awesome ski trips this year, some of you may be wondering what the snow is like. Well in a word: Good! Obviously as its still quite early in the season it won't be perfect, but with a good base layer already down and more forecast to fall before we arrive - only the most snobbish powder hounds will be disappointed (and more may fall whilst we are out there).
Snow levels at the time of writing were 46 cm at 2100 m and 115 cm at 3300 m.

06/12/2008 — Just a few updates to the site.
I've been updating the site again (if you squint really hard you may spot the changes). They include some new buttons across the top, like the shop! And also making the site look more consistent no matter what page you're on.
Some of you may have noticed that the Media, Blog and Contact pages are incomplete. And, well, this is true. This is because the Uni servers (where the site is being hosted) don't support .php. We'll be moving to new servers soon!
Whats that i hear you say? You don't need silly complicated code to put photo's on the site? No, in fact there are several images already on the site. But it will be nice to have a proper album layout.

03/12/2008 — Christmas Dinner and pre-trip social.
The snow is falling over the Alps! To kick of the trip early the ski club are hosting a Christmas dinner on Tuesday 9th December 7pm @RACKS.
Tickets are on sale **NOW** and can be bought from the shop tab!
Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you told Buzz to save you a ticket you will need to pay soon or your ticket may be sold. For those who have already payed you can collect your ticket at the meal.
For ONLY £20 you will get a three course black tie sit down meal and a BOTTLE OF WINE per head!!!!!!
You will be entered into a raffle with your ticket for a chance to win your trip back worth £299, plus many other prizes!!
11/11/2008 — Sunday Roast this Sunday 16th November at Racks @ 3pm.
Renowned for having the best Sunday roasts in Clifton, Racks are offering the choice of Topside of Aberdeen Angus Beef or Leg of Welsh Lamb with homemade giant yorkshire puddings, honey glazed parsnips, gravy and all the rest of the trimmings. This will be served with a glass of wine or pint of beer.
**We'll also be giving away 2 Gold ski hire packages worth £85 each, a £50 bar tab in Racks and a couple of hoodies. Entry into the raffle is included in your ticket.**
**Tickets cost £9. Spaces are limited to 100!**

This weekend we head up to edinbrugh for the British Universities Dryslope Championship. That is 2 days of slalom, GS, Team slalom, Big Air, Slopestyle and much much more. If you are lucky enough to be one of the 30 we are taking along then congratulations! We look forward to seeing both new and old faces! I wish to extend to you a very warm welcome to the ski club, the biggest and best club at the University of Bristol. Once again this year we signed up a record number of members with well over 400 at Fresh alone! Congratulations! we have a lot to offer..

Congratulations to everyone who signed up at Fresh on Thursday and Friday! It was the largest signup we have had in the club history so welcome aboard! Don't forget if anyone didn't manage to make it down to the union but still want to sign up or buy a club hoody...come down to Mbargo's (on the triangle) on Tuesday 16th October for our first social. Its going to be epic with loads of drinks deals and free shots being poured around and the chance to win a couple of raffle prizes!! See you there!
