What is the UBSCR?
The University society of change ringers (UBSCR) is one of the university’s
oldest societies, established in 1943! We are a group of bell ringers who
ring church bells across Bristol. We welcome anybody, whether they’re an
expert ringer, have never even heard of bellringing or anywhere in-between.
Our home tower is St. Matthew’s Kingsdown, where we practice every Tuesday,
during term time, from 7:30 till 9:00. We are also able to ring across the
city at many other locations including St. Philip and St. Jacobs,
St. John on the wall, and Bristol cathedral to name a few.
A full list can be found on the towers page here.
