March of 2009 saw the SWA Cardiff Core event. Taffy was one of over 20 people from Bristol club members who attended the event.

"Cardiff this year, just one event in the series, was a classic example of why SWA events are the entire reason for my life. Epic racing, great freestyle, and needless to say an all out fancy dress party. My sister came down from Durham for it, pulled two of UWE windsurfing, one of Bristol, and was so stoked about windsurfing socials and the sport in general that she is starting Durham university windsurfing club this year."
