The Accommodation Office provides a housing advice and information service to students and staff of the University of Bristol as well as parents of students (where students have given us permission to do so). We also help former students, if their query relates to their time as a student at the University.
Our service is: free, confidential, impartial, non-judgmental, independent and accessible.
The following pages along with our factsheets provide information and advice to help you with any questions you might have about privately rented accommodation and to make informed choices about choosing and living in your new accommodation:
We seek to enable users of the service to resolve disputes by jointly exploring their options with them. The advice and information offered is non-directive. Where appropriate we will assist with mediation, advocacy and as a last resort, Court Action.
Our factsheets cover the most frequently raised issues.
Factsheets and resourcesYou can also view our Housing advice presentation (PowerPoint, 4Mb).
