The following were oversubscribed with first and second preferences combined:
For 2013 entry, these oversubscribed residences were not be available as a second preference.

You will be asked to indicate the maximum accommodation fee you can afford for the year. Please make sure that the residences you have selected have rooms available at or below that price. You will also be asked to indicate which type of room you would prefer, again please make sure your preferred residences have the room types you have chosen.
Whilst we make every effort to meet preferences we cannot guarantee to offer you your preferred room type or a room within your chosen price limit.
In 2012 around 80% of applicants were placed in one of their preferred residences.
Accommodation is not allocated on a first-come first-served process. All applicants have an equal chance of being offered their preferred residence.
All allocations to University and partnership residences are governed by the University of Bristol's Equality and Diversity Policy:
"No individual will be unjustifiably discriminated against. This includes, but not exclusively, on the basis of gender, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religious or political beliefs, disability, marital status, social background, family circumstance, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, spent criminal convictions, age or for any other reason."
The University is committed to creating balanced communities in all its residences, reflecting the overall profile of the student body. The selection of residences is managed by the Accommodation Office. Selections are randomised within fixed criteria: student preference, gender, nationality, school type, faculty.
Disabled students and students with other special requirements will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Only one offer of accommodation will be made. Undergraduates who are unhappy with their allocation will be given the opportunity to join the Accommodation transfer list after their second week at University.
Allocations for all applicants takes place after A level confirmation. Offers for guaranteed 2013/14 applicants were available online from Monday 9 September. The acceptance deadline was Wednesday 11 September.
Your accommodation offer contains the following information:
In most cases the offer will not include your room number. Where this is the case your room number will be confirmed by your residence before or on arrival. Any address forms requested by the University can be completed and returned without room information.
We will only make one offer, If you are not happy with your offer you have two options. You can accept the offer and join the transfer list which will open after the first two weeks of term. Alternatively you can refuse the offer but you will not be guaranteed another. Your application will be processed with all the other non-guaranteed applications and you may end up with nothing at all. We strongly advise you not run the risk of being left without accommodation.
We appreciate that parents and other relatives of our students are concerned about their welfare. We are always happy to answer general enquiries and provide information but in the interests of protecting student privacy and adhering to the Data Protection Act we are unable to discuss individuals without their permission.
If your son or daughter does not get a place in their preferred residence we urge you to encourage them to be positive. Less than 2% of our residents apply for a transfer once moved in.
Once you have accepted your accommodation, we will generate an invoice for the amount you need to pay. Accommodation invoices are due to be created from Thursday 19th September. Once your invoice has been produced, accommodation fees can be paid, or a payment plan can be set up, via your MyBristol portal (except at Woodland Court). Please note, you will need to complete the University online registration process before you can access your MyBristol portal.
If you will be living at Woodland Court, you will be given a rent payment card on arrival; and instructions of how to make payments.
All new students are required to complete the University’s e-induction before moving into University accommodation. After the acceptance deadline, you will be sent an email with information about the e-induction which will include a username and password.
The arrival weekend for all residences is 21 and 22 September 2013.
The tenancy start date will be included in your accommodation offer and further arrival details will be available after the offers have been made.
Please try to arrive on these days as you may find it difficult to find any temporary accommodation in Bristol at this time. Unfortunately our residences are closed up to 21 September and we are not able to offer early arrivals.
When you are moving out of home for the first time it is difficult to know what to pack: please see our what to bring list.
