Guaranteed applicants timeline 2020
Throughout May - register to apply
We will begin to email students in batches during May to invite you to register your details on our application system and set up your account and password. This means when applications open in June, you can log straight in to the system and get started.
1 June - applications open
Applications will open from midday on Monday 1 June. You should apply for accommodation as soon as your place to study has been confirmed (you will not be able to access the form before that). When you complete your application you'll fill out your details and list up to nine preference of the type of room you'd like, the residence and the maximum rent. You will need to let us know about any health issues you have that affect your accommodation choice.
17 July - first round applications close
Applications for the first round close on Friday 17 July. If you have not completed your application by midnight on this date, you will no longer be a guaranteed applicant.
13 August - A Level results day
Once your place at the University is confirmed following A Level results day, our system assigns you a room, using your preferences.
20 August - accommodation offers made
You will receive an email asking you to log in to the application system where you will be able to view the details of your offer. You will need to formally accept it online to confirm your room.
24 August - offer acceptance deadline
If you have not accepted your offer by this date, your accommodation offer will be withdrawn and the room made available to one of our non-guaranteed applicants.
18 September - 4 October - arrivals period
This year we will be offering an extended arrivals period to allow us to safely stagger arrivals. You'll receive exact details of the arrival day for your residence, plus how to book a time slot, in your online induction.
