Expertise

I am a Professor of Financial Reporting and the Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance. I am interested in accounting history, annual report content, financial graphs and financial communication. I also do research on impression management, fraud and creative accounting. Other areas of interest are measuring research quality and bibliometrics. Finally, I study social and environmental reporting and assurance, particularly accounting for biodiversity. I teach Financial Reporting at the undergraduate level and International Financial Accounting and Scandals and Standards at Master's level.
