Seeking Participants to help us create a book

Children of the 90s celebrates its 21st birthday in 2012. As part of a series of events to mark this occasion, we plan to produce a commemorative book to give to every household involved in the study and are looking for two participants to become advisors for this project.

The Participation team will liaise with you to facilitate you to carry out the role.

Description:

  1. To sit on interview panel for the designer/editor of the book
  2. To attend monthly project meetings
  3. To liaise with the project team by email, in person and on the phone
  4. To work with the project team to ensure the resulting book reflects the preferences of the participants

Time Commitment and schedule:

Shortlist and select editor/designer 7 March
Interviews 21 March
Briefing meeting with project team 28 March
Advise on content and design April-June
Feedback on first proofs End July
Feedback on second proofs End August
Feedback on proofs Late September
Books are printed End October
Final copies printed and delivered Mid-late November

It is envisaged that you will attend project meetings on a monthly basis. We will do our very best to schedule these at times when you are likely to be available.

Expenses:

We will cover travel expenses (provide taxis or reimburse petrol/bus tickets). We will compensate you for your time with a £10 voucher for each meeting you attend.
