University is about so much more than just studying and the Alumni Foundation supports the extra-curricular activities that make Bristol such an exciting and vibrant place to be. Sports clubs, cultural societies, theatre productions, new magazines: all of these and more have been funded in the past.
The Alumni Foundation was set up in 1982 by a group of staff and alumni who were concerned about the lack of funds available to help members of the University do many of the things that enhance the experience of being at Bristol. The Alumni Foundation was established through donations and legacies, and today many alumni continue to give regularly because they want to ensure that current students have as rich and rewarding experience at Bristol as they did.
