History of Art Reception

30 November 2017, 6.30 PM - 30 November 2017, 8.30 PM

Kings Place, 90 York Way, London, N1 9AG

On behalf of the University of Bristol and Piano Nobile Gallery, alumni are invited to a drinks reception to celebrate the launch of The Nobile Index Series at Kings Place.

We are honoured to have Bristol alumnus, Simon Stock (BA 1997), Senior Director of Sotheby’s, as our host for the evening.

The Nobile Index Series is a collection of five folios researched and written by University of Bristol History of Art students. They examine the commercial sales histories of leading 20th Century British artists, Walter Sickert, David Bomberg, L.S. Lowry, Stanley Spencer, Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud. There is also the fortuitous timing of the William Crozier exhibition showing at Piano Nobile Kings Place on the night of the event, in conjunction with the major retrospective at IMMA in Dublin.

The evening will also be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni and friends of the Department of History of Art, and to meet current students and staff.

Ticket cost: Free, booking essential.

How to book: Book your ticket online.
