Come and join other Bristol alumni and friends in British Columbia and Western Canada for their annual reunion. 2012 will be the final gathering organised by Dr John Weaver (BSc 1953) who has brought Bristolians together for the last decade.
The Bristol Branch of the University of Bristol Alumni Association will be organising a third golf challenge for 2012, when a team of alumni will take on a combined team of staff and students.

On 28 April, twenty-one alumni met at Calke Abbey with the Midlands Branch at a remote and unusual property in Derbyshire.
This year we turned our attention towards Human Rights with a discussion led by Professor Malcolm Evans OBE, Chair of UN Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture, a member of the Foreign Secretary’s Advisory Group on Human Rights and Deputy Director of the Human Rights Implementation Centre at Bristol.
This event was an opportunity to meet students, members of Convocation and staff and find out more about student life at Bristol.
At this event, Professor Gianni Angelini (MD MCh FRCS FETCS F Med Sci), head of the Bristol Heart Institute (BHI), talked about his pioneering techniques and how the future of scientific developments could revolutionise treatment. He was joined by Dr Tyfield, a patient of the BHI, who gave a first-hand overview of the impact of heart disease and the hope that modern science can bring.
Following on from the successful event held in June, Chrystelle Tassios (LLM 2005) has organised a wine tasting and networking evening for Bristol alumni and friends.

On the 11 May 2011, law and economic alumni met for a Corporate Governance debate with an emphasis on pay and sustainability, followed by a drinks and canapé reception.

On Friday 4 March 2011 an evening reception was held in New Delhi for Bristol alumni. Hosted by Robert Dufton (LLB 1983) on behalf of Convocation, the University’s alumni association.

Bristol alumni based in Japan gathered for their annual party. Over the last few years these events have grown in attendance and we are always happy to see more of our alumni joining us each time.

Combining a pre-dinner presentation on sustainability for Bristol and Cambridge Universities, and a three course dinner, the event was both stimulating and sociable.
Every year the University invites its former students back to Bristol for a weekend of reminiscing and rediscovery. The 2010 Alumni Reunion Weekend took place from Friday 2 July to Sunday 4 July.
