Little Britaincomedy stars Matt Lucas (Drama 1995- ) and David Walliams (BA 1992) are working on a new film in which they will play multiple characters.

‘The two of us will play five or six characters, so it'll be technically very challenging,’ said Matt, who revealed their plans to the BBC this week.

The movie, which has not yet been given the green light, is being developed with US studio Dreamworks. It will be produced by Ben Stiller's production company, Red Hour, which made current box office hit, Tropic Thunder. It is due to be released in 2010.

Matt is also playing the roles of Tweedledum and Tweedledee in Tim Burton's forthcoming Alice in Wonderland. Filming has already begun in Plymouth.

The pair met at Bristol where they studied drama.
