Numerous Bristol alumni have contributed to a book that will be published this year to mark the University’s centenary in 2009.

Numerous Bristol alumni have contributed to a book that will be published this year to mark the University’s centenary in 2009.

The 300-page book, 100: A collection of words and images to mark the centenary of the University of Bristol, contains entries from nearly 60 notable people, nearly all of whom have a past or present connection with the University.

Alumni contributors include: actor Tim Pigott-Smith (BA 1967, Honorary DLitt 2008); architect George Ferguson (BA 1968, BArch 1967); author Julia Donaldson (BA 1970); journalist and writer Misha Glenny (BA 1980); rugby player Josh Lewsey (BSc 1998); Liam Donaldson (MB ChB 1972, Honorary MD 1999), Chief Medical Officer for England; Will Hutton (BSc 1972, Honorary LLD 2003), Chief Executive of The Work Foundation and former editor of The Observer; and novelist and screenwriter David Nicholls (BA 1988).
