New student internship scheme

Following its overwhelming success last year, the University of Bristol Internship Scheme is again underway, offering companies a cost-effective method of recruiting highly-qualified and motivated individuals. Alumni who are interested in getting involved and employing an intern are encouraged to act quickly.

Open to Small and Medium Enterprises nationwide (such as organisations employing 250 people or fewer) the scheme is attracting great interest from both students and employers.

This year’s scheme is typically match funded: companies match the financial contribution made by the University, with both providing £500 to remunerate an intern for 160 hours at National Minimum Wage. A limited amount of full funding is available to small charities, social enterprises and start-ups.
