Students on an excavation at Berkeley Castle

At Bristol, our courses introduce you to the history, theories and practice of the two major areas of archaeology and anthropology, delivered by a friendly academic community at the forefront of their fields of research.

Our courses will equip you with the ability to handle complex data sets and concepts, and to interpret material and literary evidence confidently. There is plenty of opportunity to put theoretical knowledge and skills into practice via field work and practical projects, with each degree providing a different focus on our discipline.
