Centre for Health, Humanities and Science launch event

8 November 2017, 1.30 PM - 8 November 2017, 8.30 PM

Room G.2, Department of Philosophy

During the afternoon session we invite Faculty of Arts members, including postgraduate research students, to give short presentations on papers or projects they are working on.

Following the academic presentations, the evening session will provide an opportunity to network over food and drinks.

There will also be the chance to try out a range of initiatives at the intersection of humanities and health: we will be joined by Jules and Graham who are running a course on Singing for Lung Health at Southmead Hospital; Emma Lazenby will present and discuss a short film produced by FORMED FILMS; and attendees are welcome to create their own artwork from a variety of media provided.

For the evening session we welcome posters or displays from Faculty of Arts members, covering current research projects that they wish to showcase.

Take part

Should you wish to present a paper at the afternoon session, submit a poster of your research work for the evening session, or be added to the Centre’s mailing list then please email Charlotte Withers (cw1658@bristol.ac.uk). The deadline for abstracts and poster suggestions is 18th October 2017.
