More about this project

From tales of knights battling dragons to worlds alive with enchantment, many families spend time apart but still like to share bedtime stories with their loved ones. However the thrill of the tale is often lost and the intimacy of the process diluted in the stutter and flatness of a video-call. University of Bristol’s Victoria Bates and Ki Cater, in partnership with award-winning integrated product design and development experts Kinneir Dufort, are setting out to create a physical story portal, a magical object which will use cutting-edge technologies to link teller and listener through sound and touch.
