The Foundation in Arts and Social Sciences is a one-year introductory course that is designed to prepare students for an undergraduate degree. The Foundation in Arts and Social Sciences has three ‘pathways’, each of which leads to different groups of degree programmes: 1. Arts and Humanities; 2. Social Sciences; 3. Economics and Finance. You do not have to commit to a pathway when you fill out the application form, but during the application process, you will be asked to indicate which pathway you wish to study. All the pathways share some units in common. The sections below have more information on what you would study on each pathway, and what happens after the Foundation.
