Fees and Accommodation

The fee for the course is £6,100 per year, home students.

Student loans and grants

You could be eligible for student loans to help with tuition fees and living costs. If you have studied in higher education before, your funding could be affected. Please contact the Student Funding Office for advice.

If you’re a parent or carer, you can apply for supplementary grants to help with your living costs.

If you are over 60 years old, you can apply for a student loan for your tuition fees. You are not eligible for a loan for living costs, but you can apply for the supplementary grants.

University funding

You may be eligible for a University of Bristol bursary, depending on your household income.

Funding deadlines 

To receive financial help at the start of the academic year, you must apply by the deadline. Please note these are different for the different Student Finance providers and are usually in May, further details are provided here. You can make your application before you have received a firm offer of a place on the course. You can also apply after the deadline, however there is no guarantee you will receive the funding at the start of the academic year. Please speak with the Student Funding team student-funding@bristol.ac.uk if you have any queries.

Accommodation

Students who have received and accepted a firm offer of student, can register on the portal now and apply by 30 June 2023 here. If you receive and accept your offer after this date, you will be able to apply during the later round of applications opening on 18 August and closing 31 August 2023. Please note there is no guarantee the University can provide you with accommodation, therefore we recommend that you consider all options including private accommodation, further guidance and advice is available here.

The Foundation is a great way of starting to study. It's an opportunity to explore a range of subjects and practice much-needed skills like essay writing in a very supportive environment.
