we are one of the foremost international research groups in the general areas of antimicrobial chemotherapy and resistance and use our expertise to provide services and training to the health-care and pharmaceutical industries.

we have a wide range of research projects centred around the general themes of antimicrobial chemotherapy and resistance, funded by currently active grants of more than £1.5 million.

the five BCARE members, a mixture of clinicians, clinical scientists and academics, have published more than 150 research and review articles in the general areas of antimicrobial chemotherapy and resistance since 2000.

we have a considerable commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, including health care and associated workers in the area of antimicrobial chemotherapy.

BCARE provides a range of services for the health-care and parmaceutical industries. These include assays for antimicrobial drug concentrations and various analyses of new antibacterial compounds.
