The Bristol Heart Institute is made up of over 200 personnel, from 8 different departments in the University of Bristol, spanning 3 faculties, and from associated NHS hospitals. Research income is generated from grants, with the British Heart Foundation being our main funder.

Our researchers publish regularly in international scientific journals; since 2000 we have published over 900 original research papers.
