As with Movie 6, HeLa cells were co-transiently transfected with plasmid encoding for GFP-tagged SNX5 and RFP-tagged SNX1. Again note the formation of tubules profiles labelled for both SNX1 and SNX5 that emanate from brightly stained vesicles prior to fission and long-range movement through the cytoplasm. Taken with Movie 6 and associated biochemical analysis published in Wassmer et al., J Cell Sci 120, 45-54 (2007), these movies argue for a cooperative role between SNX1 and SNX5/SNX6 in the formation of endosomal tubules.
