The Bristol Institute of Public Affairs

The Bristol Institute of Public Affairs was established in 2006 to showcase the University of Bristol as the premier location for national and trans-national research on public affairs, innovative social science quantitative and qualitative methodologies and public organisations in the United Kingdom.

It is made up of leading research centres within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law at the University of Bristol, and currently comprises:

• Centre for Market and Public Organisation (CMPO)
• Centre for Multilevel Modelling (CMM)
• Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship (CSEC)

Other leading research centres from the Faculty will join the Institute as it develops and grows, and new research centres will be established within the Institute as new lines of research in the aforementioned fields evolve.
