Global Change
Understanding climate change is vital to informing policy on greenhouse gas emissions and the development of appropriate infrastructure, such as coastal defences, to mitigate harmful effects. The University has world-leading expertise on climate modelling, both on global and regional scales. This is integrated with research on bioadaptation, examining the response of biological systems to climate change and modelling future trends. The technical challenges of biomitigation measures are also under investigation, alongside their legal and ethical implications.
