The new campus for Bristol provides an opportunity to consider some of the broader questions about what it means to be a university in and for the city. Join us for a day of provocation, conversation and creativity. This day is a chance to explore the possible range of forms that being a civic university in the global 21st century might take. We will reflect on past understandings of what being a civic university has meant, as well as imagine what future incarnations might look like.

This is primarily a UoB-focussed event that enables a conversation amongst staff and students with a view to generating potential Brigstow seedcorn project ideas as well as feeding into broader debates across the university.

The event will take place in the Great Eastern Hall of the SS Great Britain. Our understanding is that this venue is largely accessible. For individual requirements this DisabledGo report might be useful.
