Global Environmental Change Mini-Symposium

22 June 2017, 4.00 PM - 22 June 2017, 6.00 PM

Life Sciences Seminar Room 24 Tyndall Avenue Bristol BS8 1TQ

Our natural environment is continuously changing; in its temperature and climate, ecosystems and landscapes, ice sheets and sea level. Human activity is dramatically altering our natural environment and there is great uncertainty around the scale and impact of these changes. This presents a profound challenge to society's capacity for adaptation and resilience.

Cabot's Global Environmental Change research theme includes over 250 researchers and students from across all faculties, who are helping to understand and tackle these issues. Its members focus on all environments across the earth system, the human and natural drivers of change, and a series of core challenges.

Member of the theme are invited to join this mini-symposium to learn more about other research in Global Environmental Change, make connections across disciplines, and find out about how to get support for new interdisciplinary projects.

The event will start with short talks from 4 pm, and will be followed by informal networking and drinks in the life sciences atrium from 5 pm.

Registration is required. Please sign up below.
