GW4 Workshop: Global Challenges ‘Low Carbon Energy Access’ Hub

10 October 2017, 9.00 AM - 10 October 2017, 5.00 PM

The MacDonald Bath Spa Hotel, Bath

Applications are now open to attend the GW4 Workshop: Global Challenges ‘Low Carbon Energy Access’ Hub (10-11 October 2017). This workshop will bring together researchers from a wide range of disciplines to build a community around key issues in Low Carbon Energy Access in Overseas Development Assistance Countries. The overall aim of the workshop is to formulate a proposal to be taken forward to the forthcoming RCUK collective fund interdisciplinary hub call.

This workshop is an initiative of the GW4 Universities (Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter) “Building Communities” activity.  To apply to attend the workshop, please complete in full a short survey

Places are limited (max. 30) and applications will close at noon on Monday 25th September. Applicants will be informed of the final decisions within 1–2 working days of the closing date.

Please note that accepted applicants will be required to attend both days of the workshop, which will be held over two days at the MacDonald Hotel in Bath. Overnight accommodation and food costs are covered by the GW4 Fund. Reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed after the workshop (i.e. economy class train travel) or can be booked in advance, upon request. Free on-site parking is also available at the hotel.

To build a strong competitive proposal, a mix of expertise and interests are required and we therefore invite applications from across the disciplines. Please feel free to forward this email to colleagues in all discipline areas who you think could contribute to projects targeted in Energy in the Global Challenges Research Fund.
