Funding opportunities
One of the key roles of the Cabot Institute is to support and nurture new research and initiatives through seed funds. The approach is very flexible and includes funding for staff to participate in being involved in developing research consortia, funds to develop new collaborations both internally and externally, and funds for sandpits and workshops on topical interdisciplinary issues which have potential for further fund-raising and larger scale project development. This approach has already yielded considerable success through the
BRISK, the
Water Initiative and
Global Change agendas that have preceded the creation of the Cabot Institute. See our
news pages for examples of these success stories.
