Local Employers

The University of Bristol Careers Service is committed to working with and developing links with local employers, large or small, with the aim of creating opportunities for students and graduates within the South West area. With these aims in mind we have created the UoB Internship scheme for Local Employers.

We also offer a range of discounted services to local employers as part of our ongoing work to develop links within the region.

Advertise your Vacancies Online

When recruiting, the first thing to do is to advertise your vacancies on our website. It's free to direct recruiters, simple to use and has proven to be a very effective way of reaching students and recent graduates.

Advertising and Publicity

There are a range of options to increase awareness of your organisation and the vacancies you offer, from emailing students to sponsoring pages on our website.

Make the most of your budget - The Employers Extra @ Bristol scheme offers discounted advertising and publicity, including web adverts and targeted email options.

Attend a Careers Fair

It's a great way to get your company known on campus and meet keen students and graduates face to face. Also, you will benefit from lots of additional advertising, such as free membership to our Employers Extra @ Bristol Scheme (Basic Level)*. We hold a large programme of Careers Fairs, and so you can find a fair to suit your requirements.

* If attending the Autumn Careers Fair or Engineering and IT Careers Fair 2011.

Presentations

Once you have attended a few careers fairs, holding a presentation on campus is another effective way to reach students. There are a wide range of venues, on or off campus, with catering and audiovisual services.

Other Activities on Campus
If you are considering any other form of activity on campus, please contact us before planning dates. We will check availability to ensure you do not clash with any competitors and discuss advertising options with you.
Please note: We require up to three weeks notice for all external recruitment events, prior to publicising the event. This time period is to allow for operational departments within the university to be notified and for any potential areas of concern to be addressed.
