Working in partnership

There are a number of ways you can meet students and support them through their time at University other than the direct recruitment routes.

Bristol Alumni

The Careers Network is a way for Bristol alumni to offer insights and advice to current students. Learn more: Careers Network information (PDF, 847kB). We welcome Bristol alumni from all industries and locations to join the Network, which already holds over 1000 profiles. Join the Careers Network here.

We offer students a wide variety of workshops, from how to improve their CV, to preparing for a careers fair and interview advice.

Engaging at Faculty level

The Careers Service underwent a review and a restructure last year. As part of that process, a new Faculty Employability Team was created. The team are keen to hear from employers that are interested in supporting their work in academic schools and faculties. If this is something that your organisation is interested in, please complete this form.

Bristol PLUS Award

The Bristol PLUS Award recognises and rewards University of Bristol students who have gained significant professional and life skills through work experience, volunteering and other activities outside of their studies.

There are various ways in which you can get involved with the Bristol PLUS Award including becoming an endorsing employer, delivering an intensive skills day, and sitting on the Outstanding Award presentation panel.

Student Societies

We work closely with the numerous and broad ranging student societies at The University of Bristol. If you would like advice on which ones to contact whatever the reason, whether for a sponsorship opportunity or to advertise a vacancy, please contact the Employer Engagement Team.

Lloyds Scholars Programme

We administer the Lloyds Scholars Programme at the University. Lloyds Scholars is a social mobility programme run by Lloyds Banking Group that offers students from lower income households a complete package of financial support, paid internships, a business mentor, opportunities to develop employability skills and to get involved with the local community through volunteering.
