The Careers Service has introduced mycareer
mycareer is the name of a new online environment from the University of Bristol Careers Service and this will replace, in time, selected content previously available on the Careers Service website.
- The Careers Service website and mycareer will co-exist for the foreseeable future, but the balance of content will shift towards mycareer during the 2013-14 academic year and beyond.
- All graduates from 2013 will automatically be registered into mycareer - for 2011 and 2012 graduates you will need to register with the Careers Service.
- Register for access to mycareer - your username will be your orginal University of Bristol username [e.g. ab1234].
- You can reset your mycareer login details if you have forgotten them.
- Want to know more about mycareer?
Other points to note:
- Undergraduate finalists will usually have their access to central IT facilities provided by IT Services withdrawn in the August following graduation. Taught postgraduate finalists finishing their studies in October will usually have their access to central IT facilities withdrawn on (or shortly after) the graduation ceremonies (typically February of the following year). Please see the IT Services website for details of de-registration from computing facilities including how you will be notified, time scales and extensions.
- Bristol graduates are not entitled to use the off-site proxy and you may find that this interferes with your access to our website. Please make sure that you set your computer to stop using the University web proxy.
- Contact the IT Service Desk if you have any difficulties with central IT facilities or with the University web proxy - Email: service-desk@bristol.ac.uk, Phone: 0117 928 7870.
- The year of graduation from the University of Bristol, or the date you left your programme of study if your studies were terminated early, will be checked against the date recorded in the student record system and you need to have studied, but not necessarily completed, a course [certificate, diploma or degree level] leading to at least 120 credits.
- Some services and/or resources are only available by using us in person.
- Access to some Careers Service resources is limited to current UoB students and staff only due to licence restrictions imposed by original information providers.
- Before making a special journey please ring in advance to check our opening hours, particularly during vacation periods.
- Current students at other universities should use their home institution's careers service.
- Graduates of the University of the West of England should use UWE's Bristol-based careers service.
