Contract of employment

"A contract of employment exists when an employer and employee agree upon the terms & conditions of employment."

Within 2 months of the beginning of employment an employer must generally give employees a written statement of the main particulars of employment. The statement should include, details of pay, hours, holiday entitlement, notice period and additional notes on disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Pay Slips/Pay Statement

All employees are entitled to an individual written pay statement, at or before the time of payment. It must show gross earnings, take home pay and all variable deductions.
