Overview
An overview of the basic rights and protections that the regulations provide:
- Working time - a limit of 48 working hours per week (average).
- Rest break - a 20 minute rest break if you work for more than 6 hours.
- Daily rest - a break of at least 11 hours between each working day.
- Weekly rest - an uninterrupted 24 hours clear of work each week,
or an uninterrupted 48 hours clear each fortnight. - Night workers - a limit of 8 hours work in each 24 hours, excluding overtime.
