International Development Journalism Competition
Guardian International Development Journalism Competition 2010, in partnership with UK-based international non-governmental organisations, is searching for enthusiastic writers who want to demonstrate their journalistic abilities by writing a feature of 650 to 1,000 words by 30 April on an aspect of global poverty that deserves greater media exposure.

Funding for postgraduate study in the USA
The Fulbright Commission provides scholarships (first year tuition fees and maintenance) for UK citizens to undertake postgraduate study or research anywhere in the USA. Applicants from all disciplines welcome, plus specific awards - MBA Award, Alistair Cooke Award in Journalism and International Science and Technology Awards. Application deadline: 31 May 2010.
Wanted: television talent for the Network Scheme 2010
Free industry led scheme for individuals who have good ideas and an interest in working in television. The Network Scheme 2010 takes place at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, 26 to 29 August. Application deadline is 16 April 2010.
