Lunchtime Careers Seminars
These sessions involve two Bristol PhD alumni or previous research staff talking about their transition to a non-academic job. The focus will be on how they generated ideas for jobs, how they went about finding and applying for jobs, the important skills that they developed during their research and how these transferred into a non-academic environment, plus any other tips that they may have on how to sell yourself outside academia.
The sessions take place on Tuesdays over lunchtime from 12.30 - 1.30pm in the Careers Service. As the speakers are confirmed this page will be updated. You may want to make a note of the dates:

Don't miss the Vitae website. It is specifically for researchers, with excellent advice on marketing yourself for academic and non-academic careers. There are also lots of great events for skills development.
