Work experience of all kinds is becoming more and more important. We advertise a range of vacation opportunities throughout the year.

A large proportion of students work part-time during term time, although we recommend a maximum of 15 hours a week. Vacancies are specifically for University of Bristol students and vacancies can be found at JobShop vacancies. You may wish to apply for part-time work before you start studying here.

In addition to work experience of all kinds, these skills can be developed during your course of study through activities such as research, presentations, seminars, field work, projects etc. Many successful students immerse themselves in student union activities getting involved in societies, clubs, sport and voluntary work: for an idea of what’s on offer, check out the Student's Union website.
