Jobs By Email will re-emerge as part of a weekly mycareer 'newsletter' in January 2013. This newsletter will be 'smart' to the extent that news items in each student's and graduate's newsletter will be partly dependent on their 'My Preferences' settings - i.e. news about events, resources, vacancies will be tailored to an individual's interests. The 'Vacancies' module in mycareer also provides students and graduates with the ability to:- 'Create a new vacancy search'
- 'Add [vacancies] to my favourites'
- Information about employers - seeking information about forthcoming graduate and placement scheme opportunities and closing dates, and employer events within and outside the precinct? Selected information about employers keen to recruit Bristol students distributed by the Careers Services on behalf of employers on an occasional basis throughout the year.

LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking site. You can view the University of Bristol LinkedIn company page and Bristol students and graduates can join the University of Bristol Alumni LinkedIn Group to connect with other members [c.11,500 Bristol graduates as of November 2012]. You can use the Member tab and the Advanced Search option to search for members using keywords and refine your search by company name and location amongst other filters. You can also search thousands of student internships and jobs for graduates on LinkedIn.
