Establishing New and Reinforcing Old Links in Taiwan

Professor Ka Ho Mok, Director of CEAS, was invited by Asia University
at Taichung, Taiwan, to sign an agreement with the Department of
Social Work to develop staff and student exchanges.

Professor Mok was well  received by the President and other colleagues of Asia University.  During his visit, he gave a speech to the post-graduate students and publicized CEAS academic programmes and its summer school. Asia University welcomes the summer school and the academic programmes offered by CEAS.

In addition, Professor Mok also visited National Chi Nan International
University at Nantou, Taiwan to reinforce the relationship between two
universities. Chi Nan University signed an international exchange
agreement with CEAS in July last year. The College of Arts and the
Office of Research Development and Knowledge Transfer welcome further
collaborations with CEAS. Chi Nan University plan to send an intake of students to the CEAS summer school in July 2007. During his visit,
Professor Mok gave a talk to faculty members about his research
experiences and discussed ways to strenthen international research
