Dr Ray Yep, Kin-man (Assistant Professor, Department of Public and Social Administration, City University of Hong Kong) will be visiting the Centre for East Asian Studies under the Leverhulme Fellowship Scheme for 3 months from March 1st 2005.
Whilst Ray is here he will be working on two programmes of research which both feed into the Centres present and developing interests:
- Reinterpreting Hong Kong History: A Re-examination of the 1967 Riots through the Archives (With Robert Bickers)
- Fiscal Centralisation and Redistribution in Rural China since 1990 (With Ray Forrest)
During the visit Ray will also be presenting to the Colonialism Research Group and at the Centre for East Asian Studies Seminar Series. Ray will play an active role in CEAS and the Institute of Advanced Studies.
