The John James Bristol Foundation continue support for the Colorectal Tumour Group in Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
The School's Colorectal Tumour Group recently celebrated their 20-year association with the John James Bristol Foundation and are thrilled that the Foundation have agreed to continue to support the work of our exceptional postgraduate students for the next three years.
Pictured to the right is John James daughter Mrs Joan Johnson (middle) with Professors Ann Williams (left) and Chris Paraskeva (right) with postgraduate students Steve Dixon and Chris Parker, at a recent visit to see our new John James Bristol Foundation Commemorative Board, which is hung near the entrance to the Colorectal Tumour Biology laboratory.
The Board celebrates some of the different Bristol based projects that are supported by the Foundation (including ours), as well as describing the life and work of John James, a remarkable and generous philanthropist, whose legacy continues to support health and education in the City of Bristol.
Professor Anne Williams said: "The Colorectal Tumour Biology group are hugely grateful for the support which allows us to continue to offer internationally competitive training for our postgraduate students."
