The Physiological Society supports the Mobile Teaching Unit - July 2010

AIMS is very pleased to announce that this year the MTU has gained sponsorship from The Physiological Society, which has enabled us to take part in some great events. In March the MTU was one of the attractions at The Big Bang Fair in Manchester, which is the biggest science and engineering event for young people in the UK. In June the sponsorship also meant that the MTU and a tem of volunteers were able to return to Cheltenham Festival of Science for the fourth year running. Both festivals were extremely popular with the general public, with visitors participating in lung function experiments and meeting Neurobot in the MTU. We are very excited that The Physiological Society are also running competitions where schools can win a visit from the MTU; the first of these prize visits took place in June when we visited Tiffin School in Kingston-upon-Thames. We are looking forward to visiting further schools around the country in the near future who are winners of these competitions.
