Human Library is an international initiative designed to promote dialogue, challenge prejudices and encourage understanding and social cohesion.
During National Interfaith Week (22–26 November 2010), the Multifaith Chaplaincy will be offering a version of the Human Library to members of the University of Bristol focused on faith-based stereotypes.
Chaplains from different faiths will be available to be taken out and read for half an hour – and should be returned in the same state as they were borrowed!
Jewish, Muslim, Christian and Buddhist members of the team will be available at various times between 11am-5pm from 22-26 November.
This event is free, and is open to all students and staff, regardless of your faith or perspective - and you'll be asking the questions, not us!
See the catalogue to find out which living books are available.
To make a reservation, please contact Nicola Beaumont: 0117 954 6600 or multifaith-chaplaincy@bristol.ac.uk. Bookings have already begun - please make an early reservation to avoid disappointment!
If you are interested in finding out about a faith not represented as part of this event, please look at our information about student societies and local faith communities.
