This unit will equip clinicians with the skills and knowledge necessary to set up and deliver a specialised rehabilitative service for people with tinnitus, hyperacusis and/or King-Kopetzy syndrome. It will provide participants with a systematic understanding of knowledge within the areas of tinnitus and dysacuses and develop a critical awareness of current problems and/or new insights in managing patients with tinnitus and / or dysacuses.
You will understand & critically evaluate theories of tinnitus generation and perception, and possible causes of hyperacusis and King-Kopetzy syndrome. You will also be able to evaluate different approaches to therapy and devise effective therapy programmes for this heterogenous client group.

The entrance requirements are either a professional qualification in audiology with evidence of relevant experience and continuing professional development, or a relevant first degree.
