We offer opportunities in a wide range of research topics and themes, including: synthesis (organic and inorganic), catalysis, functional materials, atmospheric chemistry, theoretical chemistry, synthetic biology, spectroscopy, soft matter and colloids, supramolecular chemistry and materials for energy.

Chemistry PhD/MSc by Research

Our postgraduates are crucial to our research efforts and outputs. In addition to doing research and enhancing chemistry skills, a myriad of opportunities are available to develop your transferable skills.

Our research is organised into three sections: Inorganic and Materials, Organic and Biological, Physical and Theoretical covering a broad range of research areas.

MSc: 1 year full-time. PhD: 3-4 years full-time. Part time equivalents available.
