Dr Colin Western awarded Education Award at this year's Bristol Teaching Awards

17 June 2015

Congratulations to Colin Western who has won one of this year’s University Awards for Education.

Colin received the Award at the University Teaching Awards Ceremony and Dinner which took place in the Great Hall in the Wills Memorial Building on Monday 15th June.  The Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellors, sabbatical officers of the Students' Union, senior staff and student representatives, were amongst those joining Award winners and guests for presentation of the Awards.

For this particular Award, there is one per Faculty and it is based on nominations from staff. Colin received the Award for all of his peerless work on developing the Marks, Absences and Feedback (MAF) system over many years which is now used not just in Chemistry but across many other Schools and Departments in the University.

Well done Colin and much deserved.
