Research from the School of Chemistry receives award from the Nanotechnology Platform Japan

Research undertaken by the Complex Functional Materials Group in 2013 for the Science paper "In Situ TEM Observation of a Microcrucible Mechanism of Nanowire Growth" has been recognised by the Japanese Government as one of the "6 biggest achievements in Nanotechnology 2013”.
The award, from the “Nanotechnology Platform Japan” program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, was awarded to PhD student Becky Boston, former University of Bristol student Zoe Schnepp and Dr Simon Hall.
PhD Student, Becky Boston (who passed her viva in January) went to pick up the award at a conference in Tokyo last week.
