Hot Paper in "Chemistry - A European Journal"
11 October 2016
Congratulations to PhD student Ben Mills, Dr Natalie Fey and Professor Charl Faul and collaborators from France, Germany and Poland who have just had a hot paper for publication in “Chemistry - A European Journal”
The paper entitled "Exploring Redox States, Doping and Ordering of Electroactive Star-Shaped Oligo(aniline)s" explores the combination of experimental and theoretical studies provided insight into the positions, spin states and number of long-lived radical species found for star-shaped oligo(aniline)s, whilst doping the stars provides a route to columnar stacked soft materials. These stars, as an underdeveloped class of π‑conjugated molecules, have great potential for organic electronics and sensor applications.
