Success for the School of Chemistry at this year's Green Impact Labs Awards
29 September 2017
Teams from the School of Chemistry were awarded five out of twelve Green Impact Labs Awards, including the Organic Geochemistry Unit which won the Special Award for Innovation for Engagement
The Awards were celebrated at the Annual Technician's Conference and were presented by Professor Nishan Canagarajah, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Enterprise.
Congratulations to the Organic Geochemistry Unit, the Chemistry Teaching Labs, Bristol Radiocarbon Mass Spectrometry, Matt Crump's Lab and the Bower Group's Lab. This follows the success of the School of Chemistry Administration team who received a Bronze Plus award for their contribution towards the sustainability work at the University, earlier this year!
Green Impact Labs encourages teams to improve the sustainability and efficiency of their labs by completing a series of achievable, environmental actions. Student volunteers assess and support the teams throughout the process, enabling them to experience our research first-hand.
