Parking

Public Pay and Display Car Parks are located around the site at Southmead and Frenchay Hospital.  Charges are based on length of stay.

Reduced rate parking is available to regular and long term visitors. Advice is available from the car park office on (0117) 9595023.

Intersite Bus

The intersite bus is a free shuttle that links Southmead, Frenchay and Blackberry Hill Hospitals. The service runs between 7.00am and 8.40pm Monday to Friday and is available to everyone. The stops are

Public Buses

Bus services to Southmead include:
No 54/54b       Bristol Temple Meads Station to Cribs Causeway (there is a short walk at either end)
No 76/77         Southmead/Henbury to Hartcliffe via City Centre
No 517            Avonmouth to Abbey Wood (through hospital grounds)
No 518            Shirehampton to Hanham
No 585            Broadmead to Westbury on Trym (through hospital grounds)


Bus services to Frenchay include:

No. 4                City Centre to Downend
No. 318/319   Keynsham / Bath to Cribbs Causeway
No. 518           Shirehampton to Hanham

Trains

Bristol's two main stations are Temple Meads in the city centre and Parkway on the city's northern outskirts. Bus service 518 links Parkway station to both Southmead and Frenchay Hospitals.

A taxi journey from Temple Meads to Southmead or Frenchay should take approximately 25 minutes, and from Parkway to either hospital around 15 minutes.

Bike storage

If you would like to cycle to Southmead hospital site, you will find facilities to lock you bike up on Monks Park. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your bike into any of our buildings and we will find space for you to store it for the duration of your visit.

There are not any designated areas for visitors to park their bikes at Frenchay but you will find a number of areas around the site where you can use a standard bike lock. Alternatively, please contact the person you are visiting and they will be happy to discuss the option of bringing your bike in to the building.
